SIC filters are generally used for filtering particulates from gas streams, removing inclusions, reducing entrapped gas in liquid metals, and providing laminar flow. Its performance is measured by penetration. It is very suitable for the casting of ductile iron, layered iron, malleable iron, and all other alloyed irons as well as copper alloys.
